My wife and I engaged JJ for a photo shoot when our daughter was born. I was apprehensive at first when I was broached the idea. I was concerned about the timing, the place, and someone handling our first child. I didn’t even know what newborn photography really was! Eventually I agreed to the shoot after a discussion with JJ, and we had an extraordinary experience.
JJ has excellent photography skills, and is a natural with babies – he is totally at home in handling our infant. I quickly realized, as I watched him in action, that not everyone is blessed with the abilities he has. Ten minutes in, I knew we had a great photographer present. Throughout the shoot JJ was patient, confident, and likeable all at the same time.
Communication with JJ was a breeze. He worked with us showing us what he knew, and how to take great shots. This is not easy for someone like myself who has very little photogenic talent, but he made it easy for me. All my fears were quickly put to rest during the shoot.
Looking back at the occasion, it is easily one of the most memorable experiences I have ever had. If we had not done the shoot, I would have deeply regretted it knowing what I know now. The pictures are of wonderful quality (digital & physical), and will last a lifetime. It is the best captured memory we have of our baby. Thank goodness we did this. JJ is the best in newborn photography I know of, and if we have another child, I would definitely be interested in his services again.
